Vetcare Africa was established in 1991 with a long-term commitment to supporting animal health and livestock production in Africa.
Over more than three decades, the business has grown its product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities and regional presence while remaining focused on the practical needs of the markets it serves.
Today, Vetcare Africa supports customers and partners across multiple African markets and continues to invest in manufacturing, product development, quality systems and the next generation of animal-health and nutrition solutions.
Founded by veterinarians Dr. Karim Shamshudin and Dr. Joyce D’Souza-Shamshudin, the business began by supplying veterinary products to Kenya’s animal-health market.
Local manufacturing commenced
in Nairobi, marking our transition
from distribution to production.
We adopted the Vetcare Africa
identity as the business expanded
beyond Kenya into regional
markets.
Cibus Animal Nutrition was
launched as our dedicated brand
for animal nutrition and livestock
performance.
Development began on our new
purpose-built manufacturing
campus at Tilisi, Kenya.
